Well, it seems the shorter blog entries are working. Three days in a row. Must be something of a record. I really did not feel like going into work today. Even though I slept fairly well last night – and without the aid of a painkiller for the yanked tooth – I still felt like death warmed over this morning. It took my vitamins, a chocolate muffin and a full 500ml bottle of lemos to get going. By 10:00 I was pushing back the thoughts of asking to go home and back to bed.
As you can see, I’ve personalized the site a bit more and added a custom header. This is a picture I took the other night. I was riding around the complex in my wheelchair, taking photographs and happened to look up and see a stunning sunset taking place. I raced from one end of the complex to the other, where I could get an unobstructed view and sat clicking away at various settings.
There’s not much else to report on, really. As you know, the dogs escaped the driver from the doggy parlour on Tuesday, so I rescheduled for today. We came home this evening to two clean little mutts, though Pumba has already lost one of the ribbons out of his hair. It won’t last, though. By tomorrow, all the ribbons will be gone.
Gosh, I nearly forgot! I went downstairs to get lunch and saw a couple of my friends with their guide dogs. As usual, Evan became extremely happy when he saw me and nearly pulled his poor owner off her feet. Ronelle said she knew it was me that Evan had seen. I don’t think he does it for anyone else. But his wet muzzle in my face made my day. 🙂
