I am going to overlook the fact that I have piles of work to sort through on Monday, since I didn’t get half the stuff done that I wanted to.
The reason for this is because I’ve been having a great evening. Marc and I left work on time, for once. His project is in the testing phase and I think they have found most, if not all, of the defects.
Once we got home, we found the grass has been cut. Great news, since it was getting high in some places. Both dogs were inside the house and their “escape hatch” (the window) had been closed. We’re not sure whether it was the gardeners, or the dogs that closed it. But they didn’t do any accidents inside, so all’s well that ends well.
We came inside and put our stuff down and then took the dogs for a walk. I decided to take a walk outside the complex, since we still had more than enough daylight left and I wanted to explore the neighbourhood a little. So we went down the hill and around the corner. Both dogs went a little nuts as we passed the one garden of our complex, which had two large dogs. TJ was a little worse to handle passing that garden on the way back, but the walk happened without incident. Even though it was only about 1km, both dogs were exhausted by the time we got back.
I was right about the ribbons. I had barely finished yesterday’s entry and was getting ready for bed when I saw TJ had lost both of his. Pumba’s other one got lost some time today.
Then, just before bed, I saw the video for Daughtry’s “It’s Not Over“. I went nuts and turned up the volume. The video had a story behind it and these are the songs that I really like. It reminded me of Nickelback’s “Far Away“, which also showed a lot of emotion and almost made me want to cry.
