I often have very strange dreams. Usually, they’re as if I’m looking down on the scene from a third person perspective. It’s not often that I remember the dream from beginning to end. I remembered almost everything from last night’s dream.

In the dream, we were moving our department from where we were to a totally different location, in a totally new building. I have been assured several times (real life) that this will not happen, but the knowledge that the department next to us is moving soon is probably what triggered it.

In the dream, we were in a bus, or some transport vehicle, about to be taken to the new building. Our equipment, including my wheelchair, had just left in a moving van. The idea had been to move the department bit by bit, people and their equipment at the same time. I was not happy about the move, because of transport issues. How was Marc going to get me there? It suddenly came to my attention that the new building was not wheelchair friendly. I said that I was not going to go and would rather transfer to a different department. I demanded that they get my wheelchair back immediately and phone the driver to turn the truck around. I was actually very rude about it.

The next thing I know, I’m sitting in a corner of some big warehouse. Jason, someone I work with, had just shown me some maps and pointing at different places, said that I could work here and go over there for video conferences and studies. Very strange.

Still sitting there, a group of university students, armed with cameras, entered and started taking pictures. One stood at the door at each end, to rattle the doors and disturb the pigeons from their perches so that they could take pictures of the birds in flight.

That is all I remember of the dream. I don’t remember if I woke up after that, or fell asleep again.
