So you know the story about Goldilocks and the three bears, right? Ever wondered how you could apply it to a real life situation? Well, it happened to me last night.

I’ve been going to bed earlier, since I have an early start in the morning and I’ve just been tired for different reasons. Anyway, last night, I just could not get to sleep. My back was sore and I had given my herbal pills to Cilia to try out. She was already asleep, so I couldn’t go ask her for them.

Normally when my back is sore, I lie on top of a pillow to get comfortable. The biggest pillow was too big and just not soft enough. If that doesn’t work, I try lying on my side or my stomach with a medium-sized foam pillow under my head. That didn’t work either. At wits end, I grabbed the scatter cushion next to me and instantly got comfortable. Smallest cushion for the win!

I know I won’t get much time to do anything on the computer tonight, so thought I’d take a few minutes to write now.  Gem likes to have all my attention when I get home.

Remember I mentioned that she does not like venturing past the bedroom door? Well, last night, she was on a mission. As soon as the door opens, she’s out like a bullet from a gun. And if there’s nobody around, I have to wait until she decides to return. I don’t like her going out the bedroom just yet because of speedy wheelchairs riding around and a tomcat somewhere on the property that might take offense at her presence.

So I think I’ve come up with an idea. I have a bag which I bought a couple years ago. Currently,  it’s holding all my fabric painting goodies. I plan to empty it, then lay it in the doorway while holding the handles. When she attempts to cross over it, lift it up, scooping her into the bag and preventing her escape.

Hope it works …
